Your wedding day, told the way it felt

I am a DC wedding photographer based in Northern Virginia, and I also photograph weddings across Maryland and Richmond. I love capturing the whole day, from the quiet moments in the morning, through the ceremony, and into all of the celebrating that comes after.

How the day goes

Every wedding begins with a conversation. Before your day, we sit down together and talk about everything, the decor, the details, the shots that matter most to you and the overall vibe you want your wedding to have. I am a quiet person by nature, but I get so energized listening to how a couple pictures their day, and by the time it arrives I already know what means the most to you.

Getting ready
The morning is full of small, special moments, a letter being read, a mother helping with a necklace, the room going quiet right before you walk out. I stay close and keep things calm so those moments can happen naturally.
The ceremony
I have spent a lot of time in churches, and I know how to move through a service with respect without becoming part of it. Whatever your tradition asks for, I will work within it. Recent ceremonies include Mariam and Mina and Gina and Fady, both at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Fairfax.
Portraits
Portraits should feel relaxed, never stiff. I will give you direction and pose you whenever you want it, crack a joke if you need one, and step back once you forget I am there. Some of my favorite portraits come from the quiet moments in between.
The reception
Toasts, first dances, and the part of the night when everyone lets loose. This is often where the most pure, raw emotion of the day shows up, and where so many of the photos you will treasure most are captured.
The send off
Sparklers, bubbles, or a walk to the car between your friends and family. The last few minutes of the night go by fast, so I always plan for them ahead of time. Sandy and Steph's sparkler exit at Foxchase Manor in Manassas is a beautiful example of how special that moment can be.

Coverage is built around your day. You can add a second shooter for a larger guest list, extra hours where you need them, or an engagement session beforehand.

Questions couples ask

How long until we get our photos?

Your full gallery is delivered 4 to 8 weeks after your wedding.

How many hours of coverage do you offer?

Most weddings I photograph run between 6 and 12 hours. We will choose the coverage that fits your day best, from getting ready all the way to your send off.

Can we add a second shooter?

Yes, a second shooter can be added to any collection. It helps most with a larger guest list, or when you are both getting ready in different places.

Do you travel?

Yes! I photograph weddings across Northern Virginia, DC, Maryland and Richmond, and I love traveling for destination weddings too. Travel is built into the collection I put together for you.

How do we book?

I send over a contract and a deposit, and once both are in, your date is officially held. Before the wedding we will have a planning call to go over every detail of your day together.
