Every shoot I do starts the same way, with a conversation about what we want to create together. I am naturally pretty quiet, but planning a day like this one got me so excited, because the possibilities in New York are endless. With Noushin and Nathan we talked through the overall vibe, the outfits and details, the places that would tell the story and the kinds of shots we wanted to come away with. The idea we landed on was simple and beautiful, spend the day the way an eloping couple might, with no guest list and no timeline, just the two of them and a whole city to explore together.

From there the day was an absolute blast. We started under the painted arches of Bethesda Terrace, wandered through Central Park as the winter light turned gold, and finished by riding the subway down to Grand Central Terminal as the day came to an end. Noushin and Nathan were so easy to work with. They are comfortable in front of a camera, which you would expect, but what I loved most was how natural and playful they were with each other, teasing and laughing and pulling each other toward the next spot, and that energy shows up all over this gallery.

An elopement style day in Central Park

To me, elopements are all about freedom. You choose a place that means something to you and spend the day there, completely present with each other, without having to worry about anyone else. That is exactly how this day felt, and you can see it in their faces, in the easy laughter and in the quiet moments when the rest of the city seemed to disappear around them. I kept the pace relaxed and let the day breathe, offering a little direction here and there but mostly following their lead.

I treat every couple I work with with love and respect, and I always want their day to feel magical and memorable, whether it is a wedding for three hundred or a day for just the two of them. If you are thinking about eloping, in New York or somewhere close to home, that is what I would love to create with you, a day that feels like an adventure with the person you love and photos full of pure, raw emotion.
