Hello my name is Raphael!
I first picked up a camera in college, making dumb YouTube videos with a friend, more curiosity than intention at the time. A few years later, I found myself reaching for a camera again, this time just for fun, photographing my now wife. Somewhere along the way, that curiosity turned into something deeper, and I never really put the camera down. What started casually became a way of seeing and telling stories.
My work is subtle, cinematic, and grounded in real moments. I’m drawn to imagery that feels honest and relatable, images that don’t need to shout to be felt. Inspired by the color palettes of Fuji Film and Kodak, I’ve developed my own approach to color and tone, creating work that feels warm, timeless, and intentional. I love thinking outside the box, creating art that tells a story and keeps people engaged without feeling forced.
At the core of everything I do is my love for Christ. My faith is the foundation of my life and the quiet guide behind my work, shaping how I see people, how I show up, and how I create. I’m naturally quiet, thoughtful, and creative, and I approach photography with care, patience, and purpose. My hope is that this comes through not only in the images themselves, but in every interaction along the way.
If my work resonates with you, I'd love to tell your story.
